Pedaling Passion to Purpose

A few months back Derek rode in the Dempsey Challenge, choosing the 65 mile ride, while Paula walked in the 5k. Obviously he rides because he loves to do it, but it goes deeper than that. Derek and Paula lost two dear friends to different and very aggressive forms of cancer. Riding in the Dempsey Challenge and working on projects for the Double H Ranch allow them (and the rest of us) to contribute to the work of making cancer’s impact on the lives of people begin to fade.

Taking things a step beyond riding, we are forming a relationship with the Dempsey Center, an organization founded by Patrick Dempsey in 2008 with a mission to provide personalized and comprehensive cancer care at no cost. Dempsey lost his mother to cancer and used his experience to build a place that would offer all the things he wished had been available to his family.

The Dempsey Center focuses on, “Making life better for people impacted by cancer.”

Every day more people’s lives are changed by cancer. This alliance will allow us to create new opportunities for individuals and families to benefit from the Dempsey Center. We also hope to expand awareness of the center to philanthropists and every day people craving a way to minimize suffering. Our team will be conducting a series of video and photo shoots to bring the Dempsey Center, and all that it offers families and individuals, to a broader audience.

As we slide into our 20th year in business, and on into 2023, we are focused on making a difference in what we do, who we do it for, and how we weave passion and purpose into every project.
