CLS FARMS

For our work with CLS Farms, our goal was to consistently infuse the Farm’s tagline, “Intense Climate. Bold Flavor,” into various aspects of its brand. Using bright colors and imagery along with typography that pops, we delivered creative that turns heads in a competitive market.

Recently, we worked with the Farm to create an exciting (and fruity) brand campaign during a time when we couldn't meet in person. With innovation, virtual mood boards, the inevitable services of Zoom, and the ripeness of an apricot, we think the result turned out pretty sweet.

Timed to launch ahead of the 2019 Great American Beer Festival in Denver, the redesigned El Dorado Hops site set the tone for the ingredient beer makers can’t get enough of. The Tropical Hop, bursting with flavor and personality, deserved its own campaign, swag, and site.

Scaling is a Universal Challenge.

Success often creates its own set of problems, and for CLS Farms, a growing demand for its hops meant looking beyond its own fields.

Rather than simply increasing production, which would have been a labor and logistics nightmare, CLS Farms made the strategic decision to partner with contract growers throughout the Pacific Northwest. But there was one non-negotiable: the hops had to meet the same standards that had earned the CLS its reputation. To make that possible, CLS Farms developed a rigorous set of quality metrics that ensured every contracted crop delivered the flavor, aroma, and consistency brewers expect.

Recognizing that this wasn't just a process but a competitive advantage, CLS Farms chose to give the system its own identity and introduced Flavor/Edge.
